UBAY-THIS municipality was host of the quarterly meeting Thursday of the Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC)2 comprising nine
coastal municipalities at the NIA Conference Hall, in Calanggaman, this town.

management coordinators are tasked
to present accomplishment reports before
deliberating the business of the day. However, some participants failed to make their own reports due to
some valid reasons. The secretariat advised those who failed to make their quarterly report to use the prescribed reporting format and in the next meeting it should be in a power point presentation.
What was evident during the quarterly meeting was the reports on the strides attained by coastal municipalities in their campaign against illegal fishing.
The report was supported with a listing of apprehensions involving illegal fishers and their paraphernalia including pumpboats and fishing gears being confiscated.
A memorandum of agreement was draft between LGUs and government agencies was presented inviting the participants to make their own comments
and suggestions.
