A TOTAL of 752 senior citizens in Inabanga town received a P500 one time subsidy from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) in collaboration with the local government unit (LGU) and Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs OSCA).

Mayor Jose Jono Jumamoy said the assistance is a way of recognizing the senior citizens’ contribution to nation building.

He said the senior citizens from all 24 barangays received an aggregate amount of P376,000.

Barangay Lutao had 67 beneficiaries while Barangay Dagnawan had the least number of elderly persons.

Qualified beneficiaries of the project are those 70 years old and above, dependent on or belong to a family whose income is within of below the
poverty level and not covered by any retirement benefits.


They are required to present their valid senior citizens ID cards that indicate their birth or a certification from a barangay captain.
