Violence did not take a break going into the holy week as three people died under different circumstances including one who was killed by his own relative.

In Balilihan town, a farmer died at the hands of his own kin in an offshoot of a drinking spree. The victim was identified as one Ponciano Gingo, 50, married and a resident of Barangay del Carmen Sur.

His assailant was identified as on Quirino Gingo, of legal age and a resident of Barangay Cantalid.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect exchanged harsh words while drinking at a store owned by one Victoria Hinay in Barangay Magsija.

On their way home, the victim allegedly harassed the suspect with a piece of wood, prompting the latter to retaliate by stabbing him

Post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Jude Doblas revealed that the victim died instantly as a result of the stabbing.

The suspect voluntarily turned himself over to authorities and yielded the knife used in the killing.

In Valencia town, a six-year-old boy died after he was run over by a van about 2 pm last April 7.

The fatality was identified as one Geoffrey Cagata of Barangay Canmanico. The accident took place in front of the town hall.

The ill-fated vehicle, a Mitsubishi Canter aluminum van, was driven by one Ildefonso Lapay, of legal age and a resident of San Jose stree, Tagbilaran City.

The boy was rushed to the Leona Lim Memorial Hospital but he expired after a few minutes.
A day earlier, another road accident in Duero town claimed the life of the driver of a motorcycle about 3 pm last April 6.

The victim was identified as one Celso Galia, of legal age and a resident of Barangay Itum, Duero.

Police records show that the victim was driving his motorcycle along the national highway when it accidentally swept a motorela driven by one Leonardo Balaba.

Galia was immediately rushed to the hospital in Jagna but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
